What a Great Day at Como Zoo |

Hi all, Thanks to all that attended the Como Zoo event this past Saturday. We had wonderful weather and the animals were in playful moods. Parking was a challenge this past weekend many family chose to attend including many non MIS families. If you were not there earily you were in for a hike. The Gorillas and Orangutans were very playful. We saw the seals get fed. We made it just in time to see the Lions get a new toy. A child's 6 foot round swimming pool. The water didn't last too long before she turned it upside down. Man, that animal was strong. There was a tiger that was pretty active. I counted 4 Giraffes. 12 foot baby and his mother had reach at least 16 feet. I hope every that attended had a good time. If you have some more pictures send them to me and I'll post them.  l

Hello All, Summer is here! We are planning a summer event. A picnic at the Como Zoo. Come join Minnesota Indonesian Society (MIS) for a day at the Como Zoo. Date: June 13th Where: Como Zoo Time: 11am Bring a dish to share and enjoy a day at the Como Zoo. For those not familiar with the Como Zoo. The Como Zoo is a free zoo (however they do ask for donations). There is a picnic area, a place to ride paddle boats,an amusement park, golf course, and a public swimming pool, plus more. Minnesota Indonesian Society Membership Drive Going Well |

The Minnesota Indonesian Society (MIS) membership drive is going well. Many of our members have already submitted their memberships for 2009. An added incentive has been the donation of Free $20 Herberger's Coupons. A strong MIS membership patronage allows our organization to rent facilities and buy supplies for various events throughout the year.
